Its function is to audit and certify organic agri-food products. It is a body supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Environment of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The Council appears in the list of public authorities and inspection bodies published annually by the European Union. Organic certification guarantees that the products have been produced or made following the rules of organic farming and that they have been monitored throughout their production, processing, packaging and marketing process. Agroles obtained this certificate more than 25 years ago.
USDA organic certification is based on the Organic Production Standards for the US (NOP-USDA), created by the Ministry of Agriculture of that country. This certificate is necessary and exclusive for sales in the United States. The Ministry of Agriculture of the United States Government, through certifiers such as Control Union Certifications, grants the certificate, which guarantees that these standards are complied with.
The Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional is a non-profit organization made up of the entities that represent the different agents of the olive oil sector (olive growers, cooperatives, industrialists, bottlers and exporters) with the aim of serving as a tool for improving the sector. Agroles is a founding member of the Spanish Olive Oil Interprofessional.
CSQA is a certification and inspection company for the Italian agri-food sector, accredited by the national accreditation body (Accredia) and authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture for the monitoring of products with Designation of Origin (DOP, IGP, TSG). All of our Modena balsamic vinegars are duly certified by the CSQA, thus offering a total guarantee of quality and a Modena designation of origin. Agroles obtained the certificate in 2010.
This standard publicized by British supermarket chains requires the manufacture of safe food products and their quality management to meet the requirements of customers. Agroles obtained the certificate in 2009.
IFS Food is a food safety standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It is based on food safety and quality and on the identification of the critical points of the processes. In 2018 we have certified with this norm to open new markets.
